Digital Cosmonaut

About

Digital Cosmonaut is a Berlin based blog focused on documenting and explaining the mundane, obscure, forgotten and sometimes obvious aspects of Berlins history. When we're not writing about how German Traffic Lights Work or where to find the last remaining Nazi Eagles in Berlin, we spend our time urbexing - exploring and documenting the lost and abandoned places in Berlin and Brandenburg before they vanish.

When not working for startups in an office, im super passionate about history - specifically about the Second World War and post War period in Berlin. I love exploring and photographing abandoned places, and I absolutely hate heights. Im a passionate train enthusiast, and use every chance I can to travel by rail. As a father of twins I currently have negative free time.

Please don’t ask for locations that aren’t on the map. The Urbex FAQ explains why.
